uve gotta be kidding but jez to make sure gheckos are domestic lizards mainly found in the tropics..I used to have a huge phobia about them when I was lil coz one day when I came home, this lizard was stuck midway trying to crawl out of the food cover and when we let him go his tail separated and it was bloody and started wriggling around...and I don't touch places where they've been but my father's been very therapeutic and now I don't feel queasy or dirty anymore about them. Last week there was a dead lizard near the stairway and I was going down 4 breakfast and thinking about what's there and then I see the trail of ants but I didn't balk and although I went round the living room to get across, the next day when my maid took it away, I just went over the piece of ground that had been the gecko's resting place and didn't feel bad. so sleeping with gheckos is quite safe. We have geckos all over the walls and ceiling and they are very soothing to listen to in the nights coz they go cluuuuuuuk cluuuuuuk which kind of puts you to sleep though it could be a mating/hunting call. Anyways, sweet dreams.

Actually in Japan they are supposed to be good luck, so I've heard. They are not harmful in anyway. Instead, they are looking for insects that are more harmful to you. They eat flies, mosquitoes and other little bugs.
I live in Florida and have them living in cracks on my porch. I welcome them in the house since I don't like to harm animals. The kicker is this: My cat has a field day with them.
No worries. If they get to be too much then catch them and release them outside.

He won't hurt you. Just be careful that he doesn't get stuck somewhere that he shouldn't be. I once had hamsters that got loose and they ended up in the heating vent..........
