I know that 10 karat gold isn't worth as much as 14/18/24 karat gold. I am looking at a bracelet for my wife, and was wondering if 10K gold will wear too fast. Is it poor quality that is easily damaged? Ice.com is offering a 1 carat diamond bracelet in 10K gold for $195. Is this a cheap product or quality? Thanks for the help.

10K is usually stronger, as long as it is solid. The higher quality 18K is a popular choice for a bracelet. The quality of manufacture is of the most importance. Sometimes it's worth a few dollars more to buy it where they will guarantee it.

10 k gold is only 41.6% pure, 14k is 58.3% pure, 18k is 75% pure, and 24 is considered pure. If I were you I would not consider anything less than 14k, 18k is preferred.
