carpet bomb the next "evil Iraqi government" that emerges? if one should?

Remember, our initial military campaign defeated the Iraqi government in short order. We are losing the occupation, because we are trying to impose a form of government on the Iraqis that they do not want. It seems that it would be less costly in terms of money and lives to defeat the nation-state instead of trying to change the psychology of the average iraqi mind.

You should talk to some people in Iraq before making guesses about what to do. Are you aware that most hated and feared Saddam, and hate Al-Qaida now. How about we bomb the radical clerics that are causing all the fighting, bomb Syria, and Iran that are supporting it, blow away groups like Hezbollah that are training the insurgents? Lets get the right ones and piss on what France and Germany and Russia think!

You can't just go around and bomb a place, you have to try to correct the problem first and then if it causes a war, well, that is what has happened in the past, and will continue to happen. It doesn't matter what is "cheaper" or what you and others may think is "wiser"... That isn't the way war and these types of things work. If we just bombed someone out of nowhere, that would cause more problems than we have now and would cause us to lose WAY MORE money.
