They think that they need a unique name to show how special they and their offspring are. You can always tell how self obsessed a parent is by what they name their kid. They really need to think of the child's feelings.Every adult I know who has a "creative" name goes by their middle name or a nickname. Different/creative is as different/creative does. We remember Miles Davis for his musical talent, not because his name was Miles. How sad if the only interesting thing about someone is their name. They need to think that this cute baby is going to be 80 someday, which would make Gwyneth Paltrows daughter a Grannie apple someday! HA!
The one I dislike the most is "Brooklyn" That is a borough of NYC, Not a suitable name for a child! Beckham named his kid that. I guess it was a toss up between that and Bronx

That's a very good question. lol I've wondered that myself. Maybe it's some unwritten Hollywood rule that if you're famous, your child must have a strange moniker...as if that's proof or something. I do actually like the name Shiloh, however. I was thinking about maybe naming my daughter that until my best friend talked me down from that cliff by reminding me that it's the name of a very popular DOG in a children's book series. LOL (Shiloh Season, etc.) Plus my husband absolutely wouldn't go for it either. It doesn't go well with our last name. lol

who named their baby Bluebell? I like different names, that way u can stand out. there is too many jennifer, jessica, john and michael's in this world.
some people are extreme like the bluebell. the others are different but not outrageously different. my next baby if its a girl will have a very unusual name.

about 2 days ago i was thinking the exact same thing...
I think its because they think that there babies have to be the centre of attention and a name like apple brings attention.. And i dont think they care about the kids future. like i wouldnt call my kid apple or milo or anythink like that because that would get them teased and so on...
