There is always a chance, we knew that it would be hard particularly as the Aussies were reeling from losing last time.
England have a good team with some amazingly talented cricketers, but we have been lazy since winning last time. the loss of Vaughn as hurt us badly, we have also not exactely excelled ourselves since wininng.
I believe we haven't prepared in the right way and Freddy was a bad choice as captain, Strauss has a more level head.
But i don't think they are out of it by a long stretch lets not forget we didn't win the first test last time and we won the series - so heres hoping!

The comentaters on five live should be fired for thier defeatest
comments ..then they have the balls to go and carry the pessimisim on into the player interviews. Whatever happened to getting behind your team and bigging them up?
It's the first test and already we've shown signs of waking up...get behind your team people and stop making them feel like they've lost before they've even started...you want the ashes feelgood feeling back?? then give it out a little and earn it back off the players...you weak shallow arses...
