because dumb asses still drive the wrong way up one way streets and dont watch where they are going......

Because you were brought up to fear crossing the street. So when you cross that one way street the dumb part of you goes look both ways. The smart part of you goes, but idiot the traffic is coming only from that way. Then the dumb part of you goes yeah, but what if someone comes from that way. And you look.

first before crossing the road u look at the left side to see if there are any vechicals coming ur way ...then u go cross half of the road and see the right side to see if vechicals are coming from the other way coz in a two way road traffic comes from two sides ...easy....

It's still best to look both ways. Haven't you ever heard or read stories about accidents of some drunk or elderly person driving the wrong direction on a one way street or on ramp.

force of habit.. and because our inner moms would yell at us for not doing it.. that and as someone already said.. people could drive down the wrong way.

I usually look both ways to make sure there aren't any cyclists or pedestrians.

yes i do, force of habit. plus i lived in florida for 16 years its not unheard of to have some old geezer driving the wrong way!
