Being in the military and talking to my company down range, most love it. The only people that I know that want to leave Iraq are the ones that want to be home with their family's for the holidays, and who can blame them. Just because there are a lot of civilians that think we should be out of Iraq and that the troops are being treated poorly and want to come home, they don't know. They did not sign a contract willingly and knowing what was happening in the world, so they can say all they want, but only by asking this type of question, only believe ones that are over there or have been over there.

U.S. TROOPS have been in Hell before, It's no stranger to them, I live in NY, we owe those brave people in Iraq our lives, they are preventing 911 from happening again, I'm very proud of them, and proud to be an AMERICAN ! I think of those troops on Christmas, and Thanksgiving dinner, it has made me walk away from my Turkey dinner, sit in the living room, and give thanks to them, that I'm still here ! It must be lonely over there away from family and loved ones, I just hope that they know that myself, and others ARE thinking about them, on Dec. 7th every year, not much is said, I make it a point to try and imagine the carnage that was going on that day, even though it is just my imagination, I think it's pretty accurate, I know, I'm strange ! I have a small boat, night vision binoculars, and a radio, I often take a little cruise at odd hours to snoop around the refinery's, bridges, and ports of the NYC area, I know every little back creek that only my little boat can get into, I'm just an extra pair of eyes, and ears for the coast guard, and I'm out lookin for "TROUBLE", it's not a lot but, I'm just trying to do my bit.

The few soldiers I know are marines and they love it over there. One of them is in the most dangerous city too. They wouldn't have joined the military if they didn't want to go over there.

Most of the ones I've talked to say that we're doing good things there and that we should be there.

They will be feeling like : " Why we came here? What we want ? Why we are killing these native people? Why cant my country digest the growth of other developing countries?. I cant live with guilty. I wish to die in this soil. God If i have next birth, give me a chance to fight against my present country."

Sandwiched. They cant stand it there any longer and they cant leave for fear of chaos erupting. It is the pressure between duty and conscience.
