I'm just wondering as I've noticed a lot of questions are getting thumbs downs and they are good answers especially on serious questions that require research is their a thumbs down monster troll out there well go ahead give me my thumbs down on a question then in a minute I will answer so you have something to do

here is an example of a question i answered about what has been the most painful time in your life
got 2 thumbs down 2 thumbs up why is that should I liein my answers? is that it?
My answer was:
living with the loss of my oldest daughter who was murdered 11 months and 19 days ago that's all I can deal with right now for pain I have a lot of physical pain all the time but it is nothing compared to this

sure mithril go for it I just answered a question about 25 people answered and all the way down to about #19 there is a thumbs down it was just an ordinary question too i hope the billy goats go under the bridge and get the trolls forget crossing over

No, there are no points for thumbs downses. But they can prevent points being given on best answers. Some people are just bitter.

I've noticed the same thing, and it does seem like someone just goes through an entire question arbitrarily giving everybody the thumbs down...nothing better to do, I guess. And fortunately, you don't score points for this - can you imagine how bad it would get if you did?

And my heart goes out to you for the loss of your daughter.

Im sure I got a couple of point for giving the thumbs up on occasions, not all the while though.

I dont think you get any points though for the opposite. Im glad someone's brought this to attention. I'll give you the thumbs up.

Nope..not at all...maybe the highest amount of thumbs up in a question are those questions which are posted on the front page near the lil Yahoo mouse?...not sure...but i do know you don't get anyyy points!
