Intel makes the fastest processor as of yet. This fluxuates, as AMD will have a new one next week that will win. Even thought Intel's EX6800 topped the list, Notice that AMD's FX-62 and 57 both beat Intel's EX6700. AMD 62 is supposed to equal Intel 6200, but a 5700 beating a 6700? Intel's getting a little soft if you ask me. I've backed AMD for 7 years now, never done me wrong. Other people will tell you different. A friend of mine told me once, and I'm not sure how much truth there is to this, is that Intel multitasks better, while on a single process AMD will run faster. Yet again, opinions because facts show both ways.

AMD X2 is pretty close to core duo's performance.
Amd ruled in the past 3 years, i believe they will be back on track in 2007.
If you wanna get it now, get Core 2 Duo.
If u are planning to buy it soon, better wait and see what AMD is up to(they are preparing the quad-core processor).
Intel also has quad core but they actually use 2 dual core processors.
4 cores in one sounds nice.

Intel is best as it is the most compatible, faster and an intel motherboard has evetything installed on to it, so you need least cards(just for extraordinary needs or for superb graphics etc)
Thus, intel is far more good than AMD
