A facial at a spa won't provide any longterm benefits for your skin. You might see improvements on the day that it's done, but it won't change anything longterm. The only real way to keep your skin looking great (longterm) is to have a daily regimen that involves a gentle, water soluble cleanser, exfoliation (don't use a scrub - use a glycolic acid product for dry, peeling skin & a salycilic acid for oily acne prone skin), light moisturization, and sun protection with an SPF of at least 15. Anything below that and it's a rip off.

A facial is a cosmetic treatment of the face, commonly involving a variety of skin treatments, grooming steps and deep cleansing of the face by various means including: steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams, lotions, masks, peels, and massage. It is a common spa treatment.
But a clean up is just steam, exfoliation n extraction.
Facials deep cleanse, rehydrate, rejuvenate and minimize blemishes, acne, dry skin, puffiness under eyes, and, of course, reduce wrinkles.
