Depends on how you define continent; if it includes island territories, you get one answer. If it doesn't, you get another.

Furthest east point of North America is Nordost Rundingen (Greenland) at longitude 12.08 degrees W. However, Greenland is an island.

Next furthest (but still on an island) is Cape Spear, Newfoundland (Canada) at 52.37 degrees W.

On the continent proper, it would be Cape St Charles, Newfoundland (actually, Labrador ... still in Canada) at 55.37 degrees W.

Surprisingly, the most northern inhabited location in the world is in the running as well ... Alert, Nunavut (yep, Canadian!) at 62.30 degrees W.
