I have soreness/tightness and a little pain on the outside of my right knee. My chiropractor said it's probably my IT band because it goes from a little below to a little above my knee. I have been icing it, but what else can I do. It's more nagging and worrisome than painful

A month and a half ago I had a mild hyperextension of the knee, as I was running I tried to make a cut and my toe stuck in the ground and my knee locked back. That was really painful but felt fine after I iced it and didn't have any more probems. I thoguht maybe this has something to do with that.

I've had shoulder trouble since I was a pitcher in high school. I've stopped throwing and have taken up weight training. The pain has literally disappeared. My suggestion. Stop all high impact activity on your knee. Do low weight bearing exercise. Focus on strengthening the muscles around the knee with weight training. Also do a lot of stretching and perhaps yoga if you are ambitious. I heard of a supplement that is supposed to be helpful for joint issues. Hyaluronic Acid. Best of Luck

I would go get it looked at by a dr...knees are tricky.
I thought I twisted mine, but I ended up waiting to long to get it checked and my ACL was on the verge of tearing...now I have to do therapy and stuff...
