What are you dressing for? Since you seem to want formal, then no, wearing a red halter, knee length skirt & knee length boots won't get you there. Dressing formal means just that...formal. It means conservatively. It means you'll have to spring for a long dress, or a long skirt with a nice blouse. It really depends on the occasion, such as wedding, business dinner, Christmas party or other such activity. Now, me being a biker chick, I like the boots. But wearing them for a formal occasion is a no-no. I don't know if you've ever saw the show What Not To Wear, but it's quite informative in teaching you how and what to wear. I believe they have a website, found on TLC (the Learning Channel), you might want to check it out. Maybe there's some tips that will help you make a good choice for your occasion. <*)))><

I think with the right body, you could def. pull this look off. I would go with a tight fitting black blouse to keep the outfit bi-tonal. Make sure that you add the right accescories though, that will make or break the deal. Like a long necklace doubled over and some great earrings. And go with a belt if the it's appropriate with the skirt. Also, on the blouse, go with a black blouse with a detail or something fun on it to break the monotony of the colors. And hair up. This outfit will be smokin!!

try a red halter dress (plunging) and skip the leather boots with a soft sandal or stilleto...the dress is hot enough to carry itself..you dont need the leather boots since it may seem something else for somebody..

The outfit can work but it isn't formal. Go with pumps instead of boots. Try this site for great accessories: http://www.AmericanChic.net

I would never consider boots "formal attire". Heels sound more appropriate with your red dress....
