I don't own a umbrella. When it rains I just walk in it. I love the rain.

I don't even like walking in the rain with an umbrella. I'm a fair weather guy, I love the sunshine...which is why I'd never want to live in London. I hear it's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. It just occurred to me why I don't like walking in the rain without an umbrella. When I was a child (toddler) my mother was giving me a bath and without notice dumped a large amount of water over my head to rinse my hair. As a kid, I had no idea what was going on and it traumatized me to no end. I still have a hard time even in the shower when water is falling on my head. I can't even open my eyes while I'm doing that. Isn't it weird how something like that, so long ago can still affect me today?

Yes, umbrellas are just something to get in your way. You have to put them up and then put them down when you go inside and they drip all over everything and then you usually leave it somewhere and never see it again. Way too much bother. I live in a part of the country where we do not walk, we drive, so I can get in and out of the car much easier without an umbrella and run wherever I want to go or just get wet.

I usually end up leaving my umbrella at home so I have to walk in the rain.

Yes I do!
Umbrellas are fiddly things and where I live (in a desert) rain is a treat - actually a drizle - so there rarely is any need for an umbrella for the 'rain' we have!

yeah the reason I don't carry an umbrella is to spare me from the embarrassment of the umbrella coming apart. you know how when it's winding and umbrellas flip in side out, yeah well that's the only reason I don't have umbrellas. rather funny.
