When Sourav is a better player in ODI,why has not he been selected for ODIs in SA?

It is a blessing in disguise for Saurav. It has now been proved that the players like Jaffer, Kaif, Mongia & Raina are good for nothing and are far below the level of Saurav. He would now have a go in the Test Series and would prove his mettle. The coach and the selectors would now come to know.

Afterall it was a disgusting selection with the omission of Laxman, Ganguly and Gambhir.

You are right! May be its the dirty politics that wants to get rid of Sourav Once and for All.. I hope he plays well in the test matches (its not official as yet, but Sourav is tipped to play test matches in SA), that would create some major problems in team selection for the WorldCup.

After the exit of Ganguly from the Indian Team, his performance in whichever opportunities he got, such as domestic matches, Challenger Trophy Matches and county matches etc, was not at all satisfactory. That is the reason why he has not been selected in the ODI Team.

A fresh selection is made after deciding criteria for selection for each post. For example DRAVID WILL MAKE 10 - 63 RUNS IN 108 BALLS, It is equivalent to 30 - 160 runs in 50 overs. Such negative play to be retained in the team can make individual statistics good, BUT INDIA CAN NEVER WIN.

SUNIL G. also did same thing.

They are good for test but not for ODI.

In the selection criteria shall ensure that these negative factors are taken in account.

SECONDLY,

If team does not win,
change 2 b,man, 2 blrs, 1 all rndr, 1 wickt kpr ( if did not do well).

If team does not win series,

At present Sourav is out of form. So they didn't select him. But he is a great player of spinners. It is the right time to prove who he is? All the best sourav..

As ganguly is only better, the selectors have thought that the other playesr could be best.
so they didnt sent him to ODI's in SA.
Now they found his presence could make a change in the team performance.

anyhow at last he has got a chance to play again in international, i am happy for that.

he was not selected by the selectors as they were trying to get some more new faces in the matches and lose our team.
they never think of good players. they only think of new faces.

whatever could be otherside but we have to accept that he is a dam good player and captain for india.. now since last 2 years lots of dirty politics played with him, i reall wonder how he must be handling all these with his cute smiling face.. welll about not selecting him, i think our selectors are really paralised by chappel. they really dont care for this country. why should chappel cares for india... his mind target must to give australia easy world cup win..
