Everyone here is correct except for one. CTRL X is to cut. His question was to copy and paste. For that you would use CTRL C to copy and then CTRL V to paste. It is the easiest and fastest way to do it. Keyboard shortcuts rule! Right clicks lose.

In MS Word Or Notepad Or Text Editor Or Any Other Editor Do:
Select the text you want to copy press ctrl+c ( holding the key ctrl and c at sametime in keyboard ).
Next Go to the destination ( place ) where you want the text to be pasted and press ctrl+v ( holding the key ctrl and v at sametime in keyboard ).
And You Are Done.

Hi-lite what you want to copy and right click on the hi-lite. Copy is in the menu. left click on copy. whenever you get to where you want to paste, right click and select paste.

cutting and pasting is simple..
just highlight the files, pictures, texts, etc. that you want to cut by right clicking the highlighted region and choose cut or use CTRL+X in your keybaord then if you have cut it, paste it in any region you want to paste by right clicking again and selecting paste or in keyboard,
CTRL+V..

click on the option copy.
go to the directory in which you want it to be pasted.
right click and then paste.
