He's failing, but his perfomance in comparison with rest of the team members is still good. And also the fact he's getting older doesn't help him either.

Stop putting pressure on Sachin he has done a lot for India and for the entire cricketing world. He is a genius and will remain so, he is coming to a end of a very long innings that he has played for so many years so be patient with him he will bloom before going down.

Not only Sachin, but all other batsmen, except to some extent Rahul Dravid has failed. It is mainly due to the fact that they could not yet get adjusted to the bounce of the pitch and the condition over there.

35 runs, the highest score in the innings of 91 runs.
38% of the total runs.
can it be termed failure.
Next match 2 runs failed on account of the bat twisted in his hand. After elbow operation, his bat is not coming straight. When he goes for hook or pull, the angle that he used to get earlier is missing. He is too great player and will realise his shortcomings, give him time and he will start performing.
Today its going to his day, all the way. watch out.

I think that he is not used to the pitches in South Africa. Also he is a marked man, along with Dravid.
