Last year Super 12 changed to Super 14 with the inclusion of 2 new teams; Aussies 'Western Force' & Sth Africas 'Cheetahs'.

Do you think in the near future the Super 14 body will decide to include either the Pacific Islanders (combined team of Samoan, Togan & Fijian players) or any Pacific Island country teams into the competition or not?

Tell me waht you think and why......

Good Question!!!

There is a very good possibility that the SA teams will in the near future not play Super 14 rugby anymore. Reason's being that the sponsors are not happy with the SA teams performinces and the supporters don't support the games any more. Very good posibility that SA teams will play in the Heinecke Cup.

Should this be the case then it will fore sure, leave the door open for other Southern hemisphere teams to join the Super 14

At the moment alot of the Samoan, Togan and Fijian players do play in the super 14 (mostly for New Zealand teams). So i dont think that a combined team will be entered into the competion any time soon. Already its a long tournament, and to add another team will just make it longer.

I don't think it would be good for international rugby if the islanders joined the super 14 - its provincial not international - A new tournament needs to start with the islands, Japan, USA, Canada and maybe Argentina (although Argentina may be too strong) Have a pacific rim cup of the like

No,the competition is fine like it is. Would however like to see the Pacific Islanders included in the Tri Nations, just to make it bit more interesting. And would also like to see more of those players play Super14 in South Africa. Some of them have real skill.

There is a possibility that SA will leave the Super14 in 2010. Also Argentinia might join the Tri Nations. From A south aafrican point of view i think the super &' is fine just like it is and they shouldnt cancel it. Someday A south african team will win.
