You drive by your house on your way to an appointment and see your friend (same gender) going into your house while your spouse is home.

I would think nothing of it, if I trusted my spouse and friend. If there has been problems or signs of one, then i would worry. Believe me, my husband cheated on me and there were plenty of signs....I just choose not to see them. I would give your spouse the benefit of the doubt, until there is reason to believe otherwise.

First of all married folk don't drive by their houses..but I'm sure there
must be a good explaination for that.
Now before I rush to make any judgement I want to find out if that friend is a neighbour.could it be that he/she needed to use a house appliance which you have?
Does this friend pop into your home without prior arrangement?
Has your spouse ever mentioned that your friend visited him/her when you were at work?
When this friend is at home how does your spouse behave?
Has your spouse ever given you a reason to feel suspicious?
I would wait till I come back home and find out from my spouse how the day was...if she/he does not mention your friends visit then it may be insignificant or suspicious.
If I was to feel suspicious I would confront my spouse..but in subtle manner.

I'd be fine with it. My friends and I all respect each other enough not to do to each other what we wouldn't want done to us. Plus, my spouse would not want any part of that trouble LOL
