There was once a time when courtship is merely more about subjectiveness, abandoning the sense of freedom all because it is the right thing to do.
What makes today's age interesting to live in is that love and pain (no SM thing) tend to go hand in hand, the feeling of being alive all because that failing in love will leave a scar that would never go away. So we've fallen into a deep sense of love, and at one point being dashed to bits because we've grown out of it. It hurts, I or anyone should know, and sometimes it takes days, months or even years before it heals. But to abandon all hope of being hurt again when falling in love is to abandon life itself.
My parents, at one point when I was young, fought over trivial things and I was unfortunate enough to witness it. It's normal, and in the morning they'd kiss and make up and it'll be normal again. The bond that ties two people together can be as fragile or as strong depends on how much a couple, married or not, can resists the flames. Anyone can go through a trivial spat on a relationship, it happens, but if two people can just fall out of love as easily as falling in love with each other is because they have given up on that part of life.
Getting hurt sucks, I agree, but it's the feeling of being alive, the thorns of life that slowly cuts away the fragile being of the heart only to be placed with something stronger is what makes true relationships last.

Try not to let selfish people bring you down. You can still be a lawyer by going to a community college first and then transferring. Try not to let your life stay this way and pick your head up and move on regardless of your past. Sounds like you need a vacation. Maybe you could plan a senior trip somewhere or something. Or if you don't have the money, buy a bag of cookies...that always is a temporary mood fixer. :D I'm just kidding with you

yes just think your holding back all of your love you could be giving because your afriad to get hurt so in reality you are also cheating yourself and him. Love is a gamble at the best of times. But if you withhold yourself he'll never really know how you feel not all of you and wouldn't that be a shame especially if he wouldnt' hurt you . Not all people are bad its a crap shoot gamble out there never know what type of person they will end up being. lets hope you find a good man.

I don't think love HAS to hurt. So that means that said person refuses to love the wrong person - which is probably a good thing.

Be yourself. Have fun. Take what you get and enjoy it. Don't worry about tommorow. Let the man make the first move. And the last move. A good relationship, friendship, whatever. If you both want to be serious, good! If not be friends! Be happy with yourself first! Love yourself, take care of yourself. And someone will love you much more seriously.
Everybody is normal till you get to know them :)

Yes.love makes you to care for the other person .If he/she refuses to let him/herself get hurt that shows the love for the person is not strong and real.

yeah...honey it's the fear of getting too close, believing too much, and holding someone too dear...because they've experienced heartaches and have suffered so much that they made that fortress around them to be able to escape from those pains love could ever give...but it doesn't always mean that they have also ceased to love...hell no....they do, they just avoid i to show...
