I hear stories of girls who are obsessed with sex, but have never met one. Is this just an urban legend?

Nymphomania is a layperson's term used to label a woman whose sex drive or sexual activity is subjectively deemed too high. This is not a scientifically meaningful term because there are no specific criteria defining how much sexual desire or activity is too much.
Nymphomania is not a real psychological disorder if thats what you mean. The correct term(s) are hypersexuality and sexual addiction. These are serious addictions, and not just women or men who want to have sex all the time. They frequently don't stay with one person for long, and regret their actions because they can't control them.
In asking this question if you were just looking for girls who like sex, then I'm sure you will find them. As for a definite sex addict, or nymphomaniac as you like to put it, I doubt you will.

No urban legen, urban reality. I can give you some phone numbers if you want.... Some girls never have enough sex.. It is true...It is hormonal.. Medecine is still divided about this phenomenon whether to consider it as an illness or a purely hormonal fact. Personally I had a GF who was sort of nymphomaniac, she had never enough and she was always talking about sex. In the end I had enough , it was like being with a deranged person.

They do exist because sex is natural part of being a human being,its like men want to have sex all the time and society doesn't think it's bad but when it's women they are "nymphomaniacs".
