I know it may seem early but I love plannning ahead. My father and brother moved to a condo and I made them housewarming deco (chalk drawings on black paper with fave lyrics off songs) and this time I thought of The Sunscreen song (otherwise known as the essay "Advice like youth probably wasted on the young") and the Serenity Desiderata poem for my parents... but my brother is the king of materialism. And I want to get him something I can make or get NOT FOR MONEY. Is there something you could suggest.. he's smart, has eclectic choices in art and music, and he's 14.
His fave books are mystical fantasy (Eldest, Lord of the Rings, Philip Pullman) He hates poetry and Tori Amos.

get him a gift card. i always suggest amex because it can be used anywhere and he can get exactly what he wants or needs. you can never go wrong with an amex gift card. i could be their spokes person.
