Yes they do... however they do not have eyelids to show whether they're acutally sleeping or not...

That is what I was asking all the time when I was a little kid!
(Now that I am in the vet university I can answer that myself! Lol!)
They sleep with their eyes open and they stay still! However they don`t have time to sleep for long! They get up early cause they don`t want to be a predator`s breakfast!

they DO, they have lipid motion and their body automatically flickers to keep the fish stable in water and OBVIOUSLY they cannot close their eyes, but they are truly able to sleep, it's jsut not a deep sleep as they are in constant vigalence for predators. I sure wouldnt wanna be a fish, I LOVE my sleep! :-P
