Apart from Keane??

You need to get out more.

Try buying CDs in record shops instead of Tesco.

Just an idea.

If you like Keane then you are probably beyond help. I'm guessing that you are basing your assertions on what is in the charts... big mistake. If you actually go out and look you will find that there are many excellent bands in this country, but perhaps they require a little effort to find. Depends how bothered you really are...

There are lots of really great UK bands around at the moment you just have to look, maybe you could start by buying some music mags/papers and checking out some of the many concerts listed in them.

This is a great time for British bands. It only seems a bit stale while the great bands of two years ago record/ tour their second albums.

For example- The Futureheads, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, Dirty Pretty Things, Babyshambles, The View, Maximo Park, The Cribs

We still have bands like the mighty Oasis as well.

It's been like this for a while now. Every now and then we get a rush of new styles and music, then everyone tries to copy them so it loses it's edge. Music then seems very boring again for a while, until the next fad comes along. It could be worth looking elsewhere for your music for the time being. Some of the bands I like at the moment come from poland and italy.

Yes i think you are getting too old.

Try some of the following released this year.

Muse, The Long Blondes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian.
In the new year check out new albums from Bloc party, the view and The pigeon detectives.

It's not only the UK,but every where.I really don't See how they can call it music nowadays,to me it's just a racket.
You don't even hear of any bands doing gigs, unless you know the club circuits.
No,it's not you getting old,you just want some decent music to listen to.
