I just started my new pack of pills last Monday and on Tuesday I forgot to take one and had to take 2 the following morning (Wednesday). I read somewhere on the internet that it was ok to have sex 2 days after and still be protected. However, after carefully reading my instructions, 5 days later, i realised that I should have been using additonal contraception for at least 1 week later. I had been using the withdrawal method with my boyfriend since last week (to be extra safe), but of course, as I should have had extra protection for up until a week later, it is possible that I am pregnant because of pre-*** (sperm). I am very anxious although chances are small..but of course always possible.Someone please give me their advice on my chances of being pregnant and possible things I might notice early on in pregancy. I don't usually have crampyat all during my period, is it possible that I might not notice anything until after my period should arrive? thanks

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo! did you do sex ed at school. Theres always a chance of getting pregnant, unless youve had surgery (your or your partner). All methods of contraception have a fail rate - so that means 'natural' methods are even worse. To be really safe though without surgery - go on the pill and make him wear a condom.

There is a chance you could get pregnant, even while taking the pill as directed.

Early pregnancy is indicated by sore breasts, nausea and vomiting. Your sense of smell may increase and certain foods/smells may make you feel ill. You also could crave certain foods as well as refrain from certain foods you once enjoyed.

I think you should take a deep breath and take one day at a time. Good luck and think about using a condom until you know your birth controll is in full effect. If you are confused as to when that is, consult your ob/gyn.

Take care

Please tell your boyfriend about condoms. Birth control is his responsibility too. The withdrawal method is far and away the least reliable method of birth control ever. Don't ever rely on it, because it can let you down when you least expect it. Don't believe everything you read on the internet about birth control unless it comes from a clearly reliable source, not from someone somewhere who heard something from someone. Also, take a pregnancy test.

why don't you just buy a pregnancy test so to be sure you aren't pregnant?
don't use this withdrawal method, it's simply too risky. and use another protection until your period appears - i don't think you're safe till you start another pill month. and yes, it can be possible you don't notice anything up until the day you're period starts or doesn't... please be more watchful in the future.
cheers! and i hope you aren't pregnant after all...

is a condom for a week too much to ask?

first off unless your are finishing him off orally then he hates the withdrawl method. second, that method is the most useless and most mocked method ever used. And last but not least why are you asking this now?

unfortunately - NO
in the male's preejaculate - that lubricates from his side of the equation - it may have sperm in it - and you may get a suprise in 9 months
