my computer wont let me do disk cleanup on c drive, please can you help!!?

My husband is trying to do a disk cleanup and it wont actually start, what could be causing this

Go to the properties of C drive and click on Disk Clean up it will take time because your system has huge unwanted data, but it will work wait for some time. Hope it will work !

Go to My Computer and right click on the C drive. Choose properties and check that the Read only box isn't checked. If it is Uncheck it and try again. Another way is Start > All Programs > Accessories and left click on disk cleanup. Also try Internet > Tools > Internet Options and then Delete options (assuming you're using Internet Explorer). Do you mean Disk Cleanup (and this has been answered already) or do you mean Defrag? If it's defrag: Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Disk cleanup or Defrag.

a lot of space is taken up by unnecessary temp files from internet explorer.
first delete those files and ur disk cleanup will work fine.
on internet explorer
click tools > internet options
delete cookies
clear history
delete files

in system tool click on maintainance wizard , it will do one auto , its a 3 in one p c clean up
