President Clinton signed the policy in 97, then bush rejected it!

The only two large countrys that didnt sign the kyoto were Austrailia, and the USA. because of their gross polution, and dependancy on fossil fuels! and thats also why they were targeted in the kyoto to have a higher precentage reduction of C02 emittions. So answer the first question!

One point not addressed...the Kyoto Protocol is a treaty,
You obviously know nothing of America's process for ratifying treaties,
Clinton signed it? It is such a piece of anti-western trash that NO president could even request a vote on it...even if all it took was a straight up or down vote.

So, if you had actually read the Kyoto Accord, you would see that developing nations were exempt and that your home nation would be footing the bill for those countries that pump manufacturing effluent containing heavy metals into the ocean. Please, stop letting your hatred of the President blind you to the common sense I believe you have. Read the thing front to back before you get all upset. It was yet another bad plan, half thought out.

Why would anyone in their right mind sign that accord is a better question. It sanctions the producers of the world and lets the ones who are doing the polluting off. You stated that the US produces about 30% of the green house gases well where does the other 70% come from. Think about it.

You know, I'm not even going to bother.

Why did Clinton? Nothing has changed, and yet, we still breathe.
