I think we just went through this ... but if you want it again, here goes .. Here is one scenario to consider.
The soul is immortal ... (there is no beginning, there is no end). Only the physical body "dies". So, yes, you will be *aware* that your soul has vacated your physical body.
You will indeed see your "loved ones" again some day. Where you "go" depends on how you've lived your life and the lessons you've learned. Lessons are presented over and over again in your lifetimes until you learn them. Your actions in each lifetime are kept as a record and you must pay for your bad actions (karma) until the debt is paid. You will continue to reincarnate back to the physical plane until all of your karma is paid and all of your lessons are learned.
That's just one theory. There are many others as well.

"once you’re lifeless, you’re lifeless." What when you're incorrect? What if God, Jesus, the prophets, the Jews, and Christians are good and also you're incorrect? If there is not any afterlife, no Judgment Day, no heaven, and no hell, then God is unjust and each and every of the above is to blame of being a pretend witness. It signifies that Almighty God couldn’t care a lot less about the very incontrovertible fact that a guy rapes a lady, then cuts her throat and is under no circumstances presented to justice. when you're good, and there is not any awesome justice, you gained’t actually have the excitement of putting forward, "I informed you so." in spite of the indisputable fact that, when you're incorrect, you'll lose your soul and finally end up perpetually damned. you're taking section in Russian roulette with a very loaded gun.

When we die we go to our graves and no the dead are not conscience of anything. Almighty Gods plan is that the dead will rise again (those with the hope of a resurrection) So, no the dead can not see the living.

We are not aware when we are dead. Our brains, which is what registers awareness no longer has electrical activity, thus no awareness.

Well, if there is a hell, I doubt it can be much worse than America in 2006.
Thanks Bush!

Why ask that here? Why not shove a steak knife through your eye, and find out for yourself?
