1st Dec:
Tom overheard Jerry toking to Don that his dog is missing. Jerry is prepared to place advert, offering $7000. Tom spreads word ard on rewards. Micky found the dog but did not know about the reward. He decides to keep the dog.
1 wk later:
Jerry places advert with reward of $7000. Tom does not see the advert n he runs into Micky n recognises the dog. Tom calls Jerry on hp claiming he found the dog.

Jerry writes a check of $500 for Tom but Tom is unhappy n insist on reward amt. Micky is upset that he is the actual person who found the dog so he shd be paid the reward instead.
Jerry loses temper, snatched the dog, tore the chq n walked away.

Pls advise parties.

Under the law, the finder of the dog is entitled to the reward. Thus, Mickey should be paid the finder's reward because he was the one who found the dog. Tom is supposed to receive only a commission from Mickey since he also contributed to the location of the dog.
