Cuboid

In geometry, a cuboid is a solid figure bounded by six rectangular faces: a rectangular box. All angles are right angles, and opposite faces of a cuboid are equal. It is also a right rectangular prism. The term "rectangular or oblong prism" is ambiguous. Also the term rectangular parallelepiped is used.

The square cuboid, square box or right square prism (also ambiguously called square prism) is a special case of the cuboid in which at least two faces are squares. The cube is a special case of the square prism in which all faces are squares.

If the dimensions of a cuboid are a, b and c, then its volume is abc and its surface area is 2ab + 2bc + 2ac.

The length of the space diagonal is

It is a convex polyhedron. It contains faces that enclose a single region of space. It has 6 faces, and 8 vertices, and 12 edges.

Euler's formula (the number of faces (F), vertices (V), and edges (E) of a polyhedron are related by the formula F + V = E + 2 gives here 6 + 8 = 12 + 2.

Cuboid shapes are often used for boxes, cupboards, rooms, buildings, etc. Cuboids are among those solids that can tesselate 3-dimensional space. The shape is fairly versatile in being able to contain multiple smaller cuboids, e.g. sugar cubes in a box, small boxes in a large box, a cupboard in a room, and rooms in a building.

A cube[1] is a three-dimensional solid object bounded by six square faces, facets or sides, with three meeting at each vertex. The cube can also be called a regular hexahedron and is one of the five Platonic solids. It is a special kind of square prism, of rectangular parallelepiped and of 3-sided trapezohedron. The cube is dual to the octahedron. It has cubical symmetry (also called octahedral symmetry). A cube is the three-dimensional case of the more general concept of a hypercube, which exists in any dimension.

i'm gonna guess here as i know nothing of math or geometrics. A cube is 6 equal square sides , a cuboid has 6 square side that are randomly unequal. how did i do??=D
like "human /humanoid". it resembles a cube but is not a true cube

a cube's six faces are all the exact same length , breadth , etc .eg.cube's faces might be 3x3 , whereas a cuboids's faces are not all the same , so basically a cube is a three dimensional square , whereas a cuboid is a three dimensional rectangle .Hope i helped

Strictly speaking a cuboid is 'something like cube' which is a rather unsatisfactory name for a rectangular prism (NOT square prism). How odd that we don't have a good name for one of the most familiar things we use. Maybe mathematicians thought 'BRICK' was too easy.

a cube is a specific shape with perfect meassurements, i.e all sides equal, a cuboid is not a shape but a term used to describe and object that similar in shape to cube but not necessarily a cube.
