Well since they are in America, and the FED has no plan of sending them home, right now they are working for any amount of money they can get. Under any conditions. Don't kid yourself if companies didn't want the cheap labour, that boarder would be sealed so fast and tight it would make your head spin. Back to the vote if they could vote and were not afraid of being deported they could speak up, refuse rotten low paying work. Then congress would be forced to raise the minimum wage then wages all across the board would rise. Who knows it could lead to America having a great middle class again.

Because all Americans should take advantage of their right to vote. Hispanics are the largest minority group in America and at 15% of the population could definitely push agendas and issues that are important to their communities. 1% of our country is Jewish, but think how much political power they have. There is nothing wrong with that, its just how things are, but it's something to think about.

This 365 days they are going to be actually severe to whoever wins the final Election, no longer basically for President yet for Senators and Representatives as nicely. basically look on the Census figures from 2010, Hispanics make up over 22% of usa now and that they vote in disproportionate numbers while in comparison with White and Blacks.

My answer is a cynical one:
Not understanding or knowing what our political system is all about, the Hispanics are being corralled into a voting block to benefit the party that will promise the most stuff.

Because first of all they are a large part of California (and U.S. overall) and secondly because of teh immigration debate.
Honestly, i think it's awesome if obtaining a green card were an easier process because obviously people come here to settle down, to find a better life and isnt that what America is made of? Immigrants!

It's important for EVERYONE to vote not just one particular ethnic group. There's enough separation going on as it is.
