go voluntary at a children hospital for a couple hours and read some Christmas story's to some children who are terminally ill, they probably wont see another one... You will never feel the same about what you don't have its life changing.....

Why don't you want to see anyone. You just said taking sleeping pills is no fun, well if you want to have fun hang out at the party, you might meet someone you like. If you really want to be alone, you don't have to answer to anyone, are you under 18? Are the people you are living with your parents? If not, you don't have to fake anything. Tell them you have other plans, you DO NOT have to explain yourself, and walk out the door. Rent a motel room, go for an extra long walk, go to a park, go see a movie. Have coffee in a coffee shop and read a book. If someone sees you, oh well, you didn't say what your 'other plans' were. What, are u a child? Faking sick so mommy won't make u go to school?
If you really want to resort to that, say you have a stomach ache, and leave it at that. Don't lower your standards and not bathe, taking sleeping pills, that's ridiculous!

Please tell me why you feel you need to fake sick. What on earth would make you feel like you are not worthy of attending this party just because you are not a doctor (Besides, they are doctors and will probably be on to you if you do fake sick.)?
However, if you are set on not being at the party, have a day out with yourself. Plan a day to treat yourself and enjoy your own company. See a movie, have a great meal out, or shop. Just have fun. I've learned over the years that you can be great company to yourself. And please, never think you are not smart. I work for a Chiropractor and always felt that I was not intelligent because I did not hold a medical degree myself. But then I started looking at the situation in a different perspective. I am not a doctor, but just as intelligent. I know more about insurance as an Insurance Manager than the doctor I work for will ever know. He comes to me for answers when it comes to insurance, collections, etc. Doctors are just people who are well versed in the medical field. We ALL have our special tallents. Doctors don't know everything! We are ALL important in life, even us without so-called fancy degrees.
Take care and remember, YOU ARE SMART!

Time to move out of this situation?
So what if others have medical backgrounds! I used to be intimidated by PhD's & M.D.'s until I went to school for one myself.
You are a human being; that is pretty good! You have as much worth as anyone else at the party.
An idea: go to church in the morning & ask God for the grace to get through the day. It sure beats acting/faking "sick".
God bless.........MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
