Only if you can still give them a chance to earn back your trust. You can never use the fact that they were unfaithful out of spite. It would be hard to do, but only you know if it can be done. You have to except them and their faults. Can you live with it?

Yes, you can forgive BUT NEVER reconcile coz a cheater is always a cheater. A traitor will always be traitor. Once you forgive that person and reconcile, he/she will be confident enough that she/he will do it again coz she/he knows you will still be with her/him even if he/she cheated. And besides once a person cheated that person didnt respect the partner after all. He/She is not deeply in love with that person coz once you are in-love you will do everything not to hurt someone's feelings. So just forgive and forget that person and MOVE ON. Maybe the right person is not yet to come.

forgive - when u still love that person and he promise to change.
reconcile - only with an ultimatum and a promise to really change.
Now this applies to cheating men only. with cheating women, no forgiveness and no reconciliation. bec men cheat just for the heck of it, for the most part, just for fun. women cheat when they have fallen out of love with their present partner, and are investing their love interest on someone.
hell of a difference...

If i really loved this woman...or we've been married for many years and have kids...which obviously means i REALLY love her. I might take her back givin that when she cheated..it was a one time thing, like the "it just happened" kind of thing, or she got drunk....whatever..people are human...so i MIGHT have the nerve to take her back.
BUT...if it was something long-term, like she screwed the dude or dudes for months, it was an intentional and redundant thing.....then HEEELL no...i can forgive for the fact she did it...but just cause you forgave them doesn't mean you have to deal with them....so we would most certainly have to go our separate ways. But only for that sake would i deal with such a situation. And that's based on the 100% you deal with the more complicated scenarios as they come.

so many relationships are torn apart from cheating. no body wants to be cheated on. that an ruin someone's trust and faith.
one you are cheated on you expect everyone that follows them to do the same thing to you.. in some cases it can be forgven, but in most cases...no
