A man sings it. He gets shot in it, maybe in a war, but I'm not sure. He is shot, and then the next thing he knows he is seeing his love coming down some stairs? I think the gist of it is, he has gone to heaven, and will forever be with his bride/lover.
I think the title might have the word Heaven or Heaven's in it.
I heard this song at some point in the last 5 years on the radio. It may have been included on the soundtrack of a movie, but I'm not sure.
Any ideas?
edited to add: Sorry for the vagueness. Lemme see...words something like 'love will live forever on something something'...
That's probably not going to help any, but that's all I can think of right now. Sorry.

Sorry guys. It's not whisky lullaby. I've heard that one, but the song I'm talking about is not a duet. Any more ideas?

Your description is vague. I am a country music buff and listen to ALL of the music and just about everyones CD.......I have over 5000 of them.
Right now I am leaning toward Darryl Worley, Toby Keith, or Alan Jackson......best thing you can do at this point is to go to a place like Border's Books & Music that has a listening station that allows you to listen to songs on any CD you want.
Sorry I couldn't figure out what song you are looking for....check out a listening station at Border's or FYE.......hope you find it!!!

Whiskey Lullaby by Allison Krauss and Brad Paisley is not the song. In that song both after the husband commits suicide the wife commits suicide and then it ends.
EDIT - I'm a country buff too and I can't think of any song that goes like that. The guy gets shot, then sees his love come down stairs that he will live with forever?
Only radio song I can think of that has a Heaven in it is "Holes in the Floor of Heaven" by Steve Warner. Highly doubt its that though.

It sounds like the video to Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley and Allison Krause, and in the video, the man is played by the blond actor, Rick Shroeder, yes, the same that played on Silver Spoon, as a child actor, he actually directed this video and won for best video. He did a good job...it's a sad but beautiful song...sad but great video....
