My sister gave me a box of Reynolds warp silver foil once. Not sure what I did to her. I graciously said thank you but thought this year I might return the favor to her.

The most memorable gift I got was from my Mom when I was 2..she didnt really have any money for Christmas, but happened upon a doll, whose body was cloth & the eyes open & closes, at a Garage Sale right before Christmas. Mom only paid .50 for the doll, & Grandma made some clothes for her out of old Handkerchiefs....& still have the doll. I named her Kelly when I got her...I am now 32 yrs old....the doll was made in 1970...& I got it 6 yrs later....
Being a doll collector like my Mom...it is one of my MOST prized dolls....the cash value of it doesnt even come close to the sentimental value...
When Mom was diagnosed with Cancer this May, I took Kelly with me to be with Mom....she helped us both through a serious surgery & a few days of HARD recovery. After coming home...even though my kids were here....Kelly comforted me through the night & has held many tears I have shed on her shoulders.
I will never forget this doll.

I don't really have one of my own, but I did give a good one to my kids a few years ago.
I bought a roll of bubble wrap and cut off 4 large pieces. I folded and wrapped each one and gave them to the kids ( I think they were 16, 14, 8, and 6 years old at the time)
They opened my package first, and didn't open another one till all the bubbles were popped.
Try this for your sister. It's really a good gift if you like popping the bubbles like most of us do.

It had to be my last one with my ex hubby. He gave me a small Oldey(the dog from Garfield). He gave the lady next door a camera, anew stroller, and lots of new toys for her new baby. I then realized he spent maybe too much time helping her out that year.

A visit from my dead grandmother, believe it or not, in the form of winning seven out of seven hands of Solitaire (something I never played but found the urge to do one Christmas when I was alone. I simply could not lose. I stopped after seven games and just thanked her for coming to visit me. She used to play Solitaire constantly, and her birthday was on Christmas.)

GREAT QUESTION:

I still remember the Tonka truck I received as a five year old.

BUT: My great aunt died ten years ago & left me five hundred dollars. That was the first time I was left anything. I bought myself a TV & used it for a year. Then gave the 35" TV to my folks. I'm still full of gratitude for the unexpected generosity shown to me.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU & YOURS!

When my wife and I were first married, she bought me a little bottle of aftershave. We were dirt poor at the time so she must have saved for a while. It meant a lot to me.

A dvd with pictures of my boyfriend & me when we were dating. It had this romantic song playing in the background and it had a lot of pictures of us at different places. Then at the end of the dvd it asked me to marry him. Needless to say I married the guy :)
