Which is a better search engine out of the two? Are they 'better' for different purpose searches??

Google search engine gives out more results than yahoo.

Actually I would be Googling at most, yahoo seems to find "fun" stuff better than Google. Google does the job or search faster for sure though.

Hi personally I like both. Usually I use Yahoo because it is my homepage and it is just there but both I would say work well. Most people don't know this, but almost all of the Yahoo searches are powered by Google or at least they use to be. As far as one being better I think it is a matter of personal preference and convienence. I hope that this helps you.

Google seems to be a better search engine by far. But I like to use Metacrawler or Ask.com sometimes as well. Almost never use Yahoo!.

Google is #1 and is always my first choice but

Yahoo seems to come up with better sites when I am shopping for something.
