It dpends on how you live and if you will have family with you or not. I was in Lagos Nigeria for 3 1/2 years and loved it, despite all of the problems. I couldn't imagine going to an Arab country because I like to drink and fool around with women too much. Those are both acceptible in Nigeria, but I don't think so in Arab countries. Since you should respect local ways of your host country dry and abstinent countries are kind of out for me.
