How do i download videos from youtube?

could anyone tell me how to do it and the steps to completing it i could really use your help.. or if they are any other programs other than limewire to dl stuff..

For any kind of Videos there's YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/
To download videos from YouTube and any other site :
Get Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
And then install the Download Helper extension from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3006/ or this one Video Downloader https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390
It works great for me.

Since the videos are in the .flv format you need to get a flv player. You can get a very good one (and completely free ) here http://www.download.com/FLV-Player/3000-2139_4-10505954.html?tag=tab_pub

If you want to convert them into another format ( mobile phone, iPods,psp,wmv, mp4...and anything else) use this awesome free program called Super http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

Also you can use this site http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php and copy/paste the url's from the page with the video there but personally I'd recommend using Firefox

And for movies, games, music.... and anything else use http://www.torrentportal.com/ and http://www.bittorrent.com/ and http://www.torrentspy.com/
To download from this site you need a torrent program like these :

Sorry but I don't think you can download them... at least I didn't find a way to.... You are able though to send them to your e-mail so that you have a direct link to the videos you want from the share video link under the video screen.

There are some standalone softwares awailable. But they wont work now.
You can use firefox 1.5 or higer and install the "downloadhelper" plugin from the firefox site. There are more plugins available but this one worked for me.

Check out http://www.savetube.com Look at their tools section too, they offer tools to convert to downloaded video to any format, avi, mpg, etc. Hope this helps!
