thats really going to vary from one financial institution to another. in my experience, anywhere from 8-7pm (not usually that late, maybe 1-2x week.) some companies also partner with outside "polling" companies that will call their clients to have that bank rated on the customers satisfaction with their experiences with the bank, satisfaction w/ accounts,etc.. i'm not sure of the exact hours they call, but i would bet its after normal "dinner" hours, as this is when most people are home and available.

The same rules that apply to telemarketers applies to finance companies or collectors. Generally speaking, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. You will need to check your state's and local government laws to see if there is a limitation beyond this generality. You can only be called before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. if you specifically request a call (again, state/local laws may take precedent).
