With seasons 1 and 2, it took all season and had alot of mystery-solving time leading up to big conclusion.
what is rob thomas doing?
i mean, the mystery is solved...so what is next.
there has to be a catch. i mean, it can't be over.
maybe we will finally get to a mystery that is personally important to V, like in seasons 1 and 2.

it just occured to me- the college dean was murdered.

Yes I was very surprised to see that myself, and I cant beleive that it was actually Mercer. I mean Logan vouched for his wherabouts when one of the rapes occurred, so what does that mean? That his partner "did one" while he was in mexico to cover his tracks?
But I think that there are plenty more mysteries to solve for veronica.. we dont know what happened to VM's professor when the dean came in to the hotel room... or his wife for that matter.. who shot the dean? And here we go again, Weevil's in trouble again... I bet the stupid sherriff tries to pin it on him right away. I like Weevil, he's a solid guy, and i wish the screen writers would give him a break sometime soon!
But yeah the outstanding mysteries... will not doubt twist and turn like the others.. great writers on that show!

They changed how they were doing the show, so it would be easier for new people to jump in. Also, it helps so we don't forget things/get confused (i.e. 3 big long mysteries happen at once and overlapping). TV shows all have lots of breaks/repeat times now days.
There will be 3 mystery arcs this year. The first one, the Hearst Rapist was solved last night. The second one we just got a tidbit of, who killed Dean O'Dell. As for the third arc, I'm sure that will get introduced at the end of the second arc. I believe the second and third arcs will be about 6-8 episodes long. I'm not sure how they will work it out. Rob Thomas was originally planning on 24 episodes this season and the CW only picked them up for 22. So, they will have to work that out.
Last night was the last episode of Veronica Mars we will see until it returns from Fall/Winter Break on January 23rd around the time when all of the shows come back from the fall break.

I'm curious as to how the writers keep track of how the story is going and how they are able to remember so many sub plots! There are a few issues that haven't really been dealt with..I guess the monster thing is kinda well...stupid so I dont know if theyre going to really go into that. The scene from the last ep of season 2 i think also showed at the start some guys in the arctic or w/e and they detected some magnetic field? I was thinking maybe that had something to do with the polar bear but I have no idea how that fits into place. Also the fact that all the people's lives seem to have been connected before the crash somehow, with the numbers was weird...I'm thinking maybe all this is someone's dream or somehow a government organization of sorts. All in all too many questions to list - I honestly hope they clear up some stuff soon coz it is getting REALLY frustrating!

This is because,they have planned to make this season's Veronica Mars to have 3 parts of mystery involved.
So,this is one of the 3 parts that are solved.There will be 2 more mysteries to unravel on the way

They did that so the story arc wont be as long as the first two seasons.
