Halloween decorations! You need to give her something from the heart. Listen closely to her over the next week or two. She will reveal what means a lot to her. Listen for clues and watch her reaction to things. Women prefer to have something that is thoughtful, no matter what the cost, even free. Maybe select something to add some excitement to her life, like a flight in a plane touring your town, a trip to her hometown, tickets to a concert to see her favorite artist from her high school days. These types of things say you thought, and feel she is special enough to think outside the box. Of course, you could always pick something at http://greatstuph.50webs.com Don't just buy something at the mall. Make it something from the heart. Sneak a bunch of pictures of her and you together and go to the Best Buy website to have them put it into a calendar or photo book.

If this mother is your mother, get something precious. It won't matter to her if it is a rock as long as it came from you. Get a silver platter tray with her name engraved on it. Go with what she loves. Like my mom loves Elvis and Betty Boop, they are so many cool things that I can get her. Never get your mom or any mom kitchen gadgets, yeah they might need it, but they always cook, clean, and such. It's Christmas, get her something that she can ENJOY. Does she buy you a rake to help you rake the leaves? No. Then don't get her something that equals more work for her. Listen for hints, if she's been eying or talking about that fabulous hair straightener, get it. She would never get it, most moms don't spend money on themselves, they spend money on their kids and their husbands. If it is a mother-in-law and you don't like her very much, get her something for the kitchen he he. Any other mother, you can never go wrong with bath stuff. Or, get a gift certificate if you can't find the right gift. Let her pick something for herself. But, if it your mom, put more heart into it.

I had a mom like that. Put a photo in a frame. Put pictures into a calender - have Kinkos do it. If you aren't crafty, upload your photos to picaboo.com and they will put it in a book for you!
