How much should I expect to pay for a new 2007 Yamaha R6? (Not the R6S) I live in the Bay Area, and I'm looking for the red version. KBB seems to only list prices for used bikes, not new ones.

The new R-6 are now arriving at the dealers. After last years sell out of the R-6, at around$11,600 in the Bay Area, I would expect to pay around 11,700 or so out the door.A friend of mine just bought one at a smaller dealership east of the Bay Area, Malotts Yamaha in a place called Manteca. He said they gave him a pretty good deal , I believe he said he paid $10 500 out the door.He was telling me that late last summer he was looking for a black one in the Bay area , and the dealers were hitting him $1000.00 over retail , plus tax, license, and all kinds of crazy fees. He said he got the 07 for about 1300 less than he was finding the 06 models for. Perhaps it was because the summer riding season, and the higher demand. Good luck. I just got my '07 R6 last week for 8,800. It's listed as 9,300 or around that, but if you find a good Yamaha dealership, they will cut you a deal!
I got the charcoal R6 with a matching Shoei helmet. My total was 11,400 out the door (with $800 in accessories).
Expect to pay about $10, 500 out the door for the bike, registration, paperwork, and if you get the additional warranty.
Yamaha offers only 1 year warranty on the R6. I payed $900 for an additional 4 years.
Yamaha is also offering financing through HSBC, through the Yamaha Card. Ask the financing people at the dealership if you are interested.
Good luck with your bike! I guarantee you, it's going to turn heads!!! You won't be able to sleep during the first week, dreaming about riding and thinking about the mods you'll put in it!!!

You can get one for a little under 8 grand.

If you have to ask....then its too much. Your looking at $12-15,000
