It looks like you don't want to consult anyone for creating thte business processes, since you ask about the start up costs. First your break down your costs, like establishment costs which include hiring personells, renting buildings, attorney fees etc;. Then you calculate the foreseeable monthly expenses should include wages and promotional costs unless you already see some customers. Make provisions for this for about three months into the future of the stratup. Now you create a business plan and approach a Bank or the National Institute for Small Scale Entreprenuers, I believe the name is right who will guide you with everything. The business plan should explain your strategy, financial projection etc;. If you consult anybody then probably you will be divulging your business idea to some one as you fear. National Institute for small scale entreprenuers might help. They have an office in Texas, I believe in Dallas. Try locally if they have an office.

First thing I did was write a business plan. You can find alot of helpful sources online on how to write business plans. Why do you need a business plan? 1) Helps you define your target customers and your product 2) Helps you understand your competion 3) Helps you to come up with some marketing strageties 4) Defines your business organization 5) Defines your business cash flow, income projection, your net worth and 6)This is what the banks want to see when you go to ask for money; banks will not give you money without a business plan.
As far as startup cost, this will all be developed in your business plan when you write it.
I know it's alot of work, but it's worth it!

Well first you need to put your idea in detail on paper this is a business plan having this will open doors from bank loans to people that are out there that can help you start your business. there is also a group called SCORE they help small businesses get start especially when people like yourself don't know what to do first. i would look them up they give advice and mentors to you like retired successful business people. Or you can take Business Intro if your into going to college I'm in this class now and I have gained a lot of information that is helpful.
