why can't everyone just accept that the AP, USA Today and Harris pollsters all agree that ohio state is #1, USC is #2, michigan is #3 and florida is #4?

it is what it is and it really doesn't matter what people think. people on yahoo are just fans pretending to be analysts, but they are embarrassing themselves with their whine and cheese.

if you are all so knowledgable about college football, why aren't you guys working for the AP, ESPN, Fox, etc?

if michigan was the #2 team, then the voters would have put them there. if florida was the #2 team, then the voters would have put them there.

stop all of your crying and just accept it already...there's always next year.

oh wait, USC will probably be ranked #1 out of the gates anyway. nevermind...you will always be crybabies!

mr2fister: you can't read. i never implied i was an expert. i'm just saying that fans should just accept what's given to us. the rankings (even though still influenced) is out of our control.

you are they kind of crybaby i'm talking about! what a joke. still holding on a shred of an argument that you can't do anything about.

if you move on, then maybe you can enjoy the rest of the season. or just wait 'til next year.

The reason for the BCS is that BYU won the national championship several years ago by going undefeated for the season. They played against Michigan in a minor bowl game because the WAC champion was committed to that bowl.
I believe Michigan was ranked 21 at that time with a 7-4 record which was the highest ranked teamed BYU faced that year. As a result, the BCS was created to prevent that from happening again.
However, I wonder if the polls are slipping back to their old ways because prior to last weekend West Virginia was ranked seventh. Although they only played one ranked team in Louisville and lost to them. How does that happen when you hear talk about strength of schedule. What a crock!

I also agree with you.

Yes, Michigan is a good team. So is Florida. And so is USC.

Should there be another system? YES. But right now, we have the BCS. Everyone can do their fair share of complaining, but what will that do? NOTHING. Until something changes, it is what it is. Let it go...

For every argument why one team should play for the national championship, there are probably two arguments against it. Geez, there's probably a bunch of arguments why ohio state shouldn't play for it. These arguments are getting old and ridiculous.

What's next? A team shouldn't play for the NC because their school colors suck? How about a team plays who plays in inclement weather should be ranked higher than a team who doesn't? How about a team's cheerleaders are better looking, therefore they deserve media attention? C'mon now...

I agree and disagree at the same time.
It's a wonderful time to be a Trojan :)
And I think USC has played real impressively
after the lone loss.. (which I will discuss no further)
They've shown what they're capable of
with a young team and one of the toughest schedules,
if not, THE toughest this season.

What I disagree with is the pro voters' credibility,
I'm sure they know what they're doing more
than the mainstream fans do, but all analysts
are biased in one way or another, whether they
cover it up well or not... whole different story.

stronger argument? agreed.
kudos to the bcs for finally putting
teams where they belong.. almost..
Okay, at least the top 5

all of it comes all the way down to the certainty that ABC and ESPN (Kirk Herbstreit) love the enormous 10. in the event that they wanna be NC, then why dont they earn it? Step out of convention and play a team from the SEC East, who at one factor this season, had 6 of their 7 communities interior the precise 25. Michigan getting beat by using App. C'mon, and that they nevertheless deserve a NC shot. I dont think of so. They should not be waiting to redeem that loss for yet another one hundred years. At "the enormous domicile" too? How does Wolv. followers even stay devoted after that. beware next season nevertheless, I hear that Mich. and OSU the two have community faculties on their time table. hiya, i understand, time table the college of Phoenix. they could be waiting to throw at the same time a team by using then. susceptible schedules are only like "paying for" a NC with the BCS. Small faculties get enormous money to return play enormous faculties and each each so often a team like App St takes domicile the $4 hundred,000 AND a win.

I am a USC fan and agree with you. Let the pro's decide. But how can USC be ahead of Michigan when Michigan beat Nortre Dame worse than USC did. Michigan lost to OS when USC lost to a non ranked OS. Frankly I hate Michigan and would have been biased and voted for USC anyway. USC looks better playing Ohio STate than Michigan anyway and will attract more viewers.

What makes you the expert? I don't see you on any of the networks explaining your verbal diarrhea! You mean to tell me that USC's win over Notre Dame was bigger than Michigan's? USC won by 20 points on their own turf. U of M won by 26 on Notre Dame's turf. Michigan would give OSU a better game than USC will but OSU vs. Michigan in the title game isn't going to draw the viewers, so it will be OSU spanking Trojan @ss!

because the "Pro's" are biased too
they give in to the media hype and the "style points"

prime example Notre Dame
starting the year #2 after getting blown out in thier bowl game

when there is any kind of injustice people will talk
So in the BCS's case people will go crazy
