Personally, I had the same problem. What worked for me was first getting real comfortbale dribbling, beause if you're going for a left handed lay-up you have to dribble, in most cases, with your left hand. Then practice just that. Doing running lay-ups like you would during a game. Start out with warm-up lay-ups until you get comfortable then go faster. It took me about a month to get consistant with it, so i'd say about a month. you'll do fine. Goodluck!

its real simple stand under rim with left hand keep doing left hand layups from left side. Do like 50x each day--consistency is key....if you really want to up your game and get specific get a book on basketball

Try shooting under basket with you left with the correct footing. Do a layup with the correct footing for left hand.Do simple daily task with your left. You will feel more comfortable and will improve you left hand control.

Just pratice to play up on the left hand, that doesnt mean u stop to do on the right hand.
