I think that as long as there are those CDs who dress in typical male fantasy clothing when out and about, it will never be accepted. How do you tell a child that the big fat hairy person in a tight spandex miniskirt with obviously fake boobs should be accepted? There are many who dress normally and blend in, so thats not really a problem, but way too many go well over the top!

As time goes on, there will be a more open view of everything and everyone. Crossdressers are becoming increasing in numbers and in spirit to get out more. This will open even more doors regardless of the people who say no in their minds and look the other way.

I personally believe to each his own, but I must say that having a cross dresser trying on womens shoes next to my 11 year old daughter was a little awkward. The guy was in full womens clothing, yet obviously a man and my daughter glanced over at him like he was crazy. Maybe there is a time and a place for everything, but I also believe in accepting who you are and not trying to change yourself like that.

I don't know what happens in your country. In mine, the Netherlands, it is actually going backwards again. It has never be completely accepted, but for a while it was not so bad. Now more and more people turn to religion and tolerance is gong downhill.

Well, we've become alot more accepting in that you can't legally descriminate against them for being a cross-dresser, and you can't arrest someone for it anymore... but socially, it's still 100% taboo unless you're in a super liberal city. We have a LONG way to go.

In America, money is the only thing that matters. If we knew the best lawyer wore lipstick, we would not care as long as he won.

I have worn girl's clothing up on campus (during classes). It's usually just pants and a t-shirt, sometimes a jacket. I've never had any complaints.

i think cross dressing gives gay people a bad rap.........
i don't believe a man who gets off on wearing womens clothes,
is playing with a full deck.
i say this with conviction.
if you are a guy, dress and act like one.
i believe cross dressers are in the same category as
child molesters.
i find your question , way out there,
and disgusting.

Both. For as far as society has come in areas such as this, we still have at least that far to go.
