There are so many questions about "why do blacks," "why do whites," blah blah blah. The word "some" or "most" is often omitted. My race is what I am, not who I am so I really don't understand how some of you can generalize any group. More important, it should not matter anyway. I think that we should focus on the individual because we all have our own mind.

It's easier to label. Dealing with individuality requires a) patience, b) time, c) attention, d) critical thought.

Some people just aren't willing to devote the time to dealing with others on an individual level, and it's sad to see. Others get it.

The path of least resistance is the most popular path in life, and it will continue to be that way until our ability to communicate gets better. Then, improved communication will make dealing with each other on an individual basis more practical.

In the mean time, you get lots o' stupid people.

I agree with you, it makes more sense to focus on the individual. I think that people who generalize a lot are ignorant or find it easier to think in terms of groups than individuals because it takes more effort to get to know individuals instead of labelling them as members of some group, but that focus on groups brings about so many wrong assumptions about people that I'm surprised they still bother with those stereotypes. I wish more people would focus on individuals instead of groups.

Apparently that's a difficult concept for the less than intelligent to wrap their minds around.
