It's like any other state, the quality of education is correlated to the income level of the area. Some areas of Kentucky have fantastic schools and others have schools that are below par. Southern Kentucky has a lot of low income areas, specifically around the Appalachian Mountains. Over the last several years the Kentucky Board of Education has been striving to improve the quality of education across the state. The measures have been working and test scores are up. Kentucky also offers KEES money to individuals for in-state colleges which is based on high school g.p.a. and standardized test scores.

In general citizens of Kentucky are as intelligent as citizens of other states, but unfortunately schools across the state do not offer the same opportunities.

Kentucky...... which one??
if you're talking about amercia well.... anything off the coast has a lower average IQ rating... (about 95 or something) and people on the coasts who trade or communicate with other countries more seem to have a higher IQ rating of about 101

i think this is a problem is most of the 1st world countries seem to be less educated nowadays..... i read an article about Australia where 5% of 15-19 yr olds couldn't read or write even tho they have been in school all their lives..... (one of the boys couldn't even spell "problem"... at 17!!!)
