Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama - 563 BC), Bono (U2 - 1960), Sid Vicious (Sex Pistols - 1957) and John Wilkes Booth (Lincoln's Assassinator - 1838) are all pretty well known figures, Bono and Sid Vicious were/are in bands, Buddha is a religious figurehead, and John Wilkes Booth shot Abraham Lincoln in the head.
I think out of all of them, Booth is the most known (thanks to history books), and he counts as a celebrity because he was an actor.
Technically Buddha doesn't count as a celebrity, but hey, a lot of people know who he is.
