mol of Cl2
=2.85/71
=0.0401 mol

mol ratio of Cl2 : I2
=1 : 1

mass of I2
=0.0401*254
=10.1854g

1 mole of Cl2 = 71 g of Cl2 produce 254 g of I2
So 2.85 g of Cl2 produce 254*2.85/71 = 10.195 g of I2
